Recent Weekends

We have had a busy past couple of weekends! We spent labor day weekend in Illinois with my Mom & Dad and siblings. We had a really nice weekend. Saturday we had a weenie roast with my Dad's brothers and all of their kids (ate lots of yummy foods, kids had fun playing outside...riding bikes, chasing frogs, playing basketball...I couldn't find my camera at that point so I have no pictures to share). On Sunday, we took naps, went out for boat rides and a bit of fishing and had pizza. Then Monday we headed back home where Gabe wound up with a fever for a couple of days.

Here are the main boaters/fishermen. We did bring Kendra up to give her a boat ride and she got to see Grandpa catch 1 fish but she had more fun playing with the plastic lures than anything else.

This was Heath's first real fishing outing on the boat so we had to take pictures with his bass he caught. Notice Kendra naked again...will she ever outgrow the naked phase????

For some reason, watching TV in Grandma's bed is way more fun than watching it in the living room with the rest of us. These three were catching up on some cartoons.

Kendra's hair was a touch wild after we took out her ponytail (her "pretty" that is).

This past weekend, Heath's cousin Braidy got married. Gabe was the ring bearer. Here he is with the rest of the kids that were in the wedding. At rehearsal they opted to sit up front...WAY up front :)

The kids' gift from Braidy was a bubble machine you use in the bath tub. It was a big hit on Saturday morning as we took baths before the wedding.

And this starts the pictures from the wedding day. Kendra wasn't actually in the wedding but they had extra material left from the flower girl dresses so Kendra and her cousin Hannah both got similar dresses made...just opposite colors of the flower girl dresses. So they were pretty big stuff with their princess dresses on too!

They didn't want anyone taking pictures during the ceremony so all I have is before and after pics for now.

Kendra and some of the other kids kept busy writing on a couple sets of post-it notes they found.

And the DJ gave out a few blow up guitars that Gabe enjoyed carrying around for a while...look out Gabe! Jake is coming for you...

Must not have been a good song cause the dance floor cleared out for a minute.

All in all, we have had a couple of really good weekends! Gabe did awesome coming down the aisle! Yesterday, I started digging out a few things to get ready for the new baby. We drug out the changing table and reorganized some of Gabe and Kendra's clothes so the new baby could have a dresser and a place to hang her clothes. Halloween will be here before we know it!!!
