Swimsuit Season

The warmer temps are definitely here! We've been playing outside in the water quite a bit lately. This first picture is of Gabe playing with the new sprinkler that Grandma & Grandpa Ochs got him for Easter. Kendra is a little timid of the water (I don't blame her...it is cold). I think once we get to play on a really hot day or in some warmer water, she'll enjoy it more.

Kendra carried Heath's old blackberry around for a week straight. This was her at a friend's wedding all dressed up and still talking on her phone.

Kendra is also quite attached to this pair of sunglasses. Well, sunglasses and sun hats. It amazes us all how she puts these items on and won't take them off.

What do you do when Mom is wanting to take your picture and she tells you to quit picking your nose? Duh...you and your sister both start pretend nose picking just to be onery.

Heath's and his two brothers all had our second children about the same time within a span of 2 1/2 months or so. This was Hannah's second birthday party and the kids had a blast playing on the slip and slide. Thanks to Uncle Justin for giving them all a toss down the "runway". Gabe couldn't get enough of it!

Kendra was being onery and looking for one of our pet lizards here. They always run when she comes around and it amazes me how she tries to catch them. She's our bug/worm picker upper in the family.

My favorite picture of the kids together recently...this is on our golf cart going for one of our evening rides around the neighborhood. Notice Kendra in the hat once again...

Over Memorial Day weekend, we went down to Owensboro to a campground with several family and friends. We sold our camper last year so we rented a motel/cabin there along with 2 other couples. And then there were four camping families. So we got to spend lots of time outside. The campground was really neat. You were allowed to bring golf carts so we brought ours along. Heath got to enter in a Golf Cart rodeo event...in which he won the drag race event. He was quite comical as he did his victory lap waving to the crowd. I'll let him fill you in on the details but rest assured there was a bit of booze involved. They had a pond full of carp for the kids to feed, a swimming pool, go-karts, and then your typical camp activities of riding bikes, playing on a playground, getting dirty, eating lots of food, etc. And thankfully the rooms we stayed in were pretty nice. I didn't miss the camper at all since we had a nice cool room to go back to with a normal toilet, hot shower, refridgerator, and microwave!!

For a pregnancy update, I am almost 18 weeks pregnant now and feeling good. On Monday, June 1st we get our ultrasound and hopefully we'll get to find out the gender. We have no preference whatsoever but it we're still excited to find out and start planning and picking names and all that good stuff. And no, I have no maternal instinct telling me if this is a boy or a girl. I feel like this pregnancy has been...not as bad as Kendra's (though that one wasn't even bad) but not as easy as Gabe's (though that may be because I'm chasing 2 toddlers around)?? Mostly we'll just be glad to see a healthy baby on the screen on Monday!

Preschool Graduation

Gabe had his preschool graduation tonight. At this age, you get to graduate every single year. So his class got up and sang "Itsy Bitsy Spider" and "Rainbow of Colors". His stage performance was 10 times better than that of his prior performance (recall his Christmas program where he threw down his jingle bell and stood with his hands covering his face). This time he did the hand motions and sang at least part of his songs!!

Here he is doing the "itsy bitsy"

"out came the sun and dried up all the rain"

And I attempted to use my camera to video the rainbow of colors song since I brought a camcorder with only 30 seconds of tape on it and no spare tape (duh)...unfortunately no sound accompanies this :( We'll see if I'm skilled enough to upload a video...

Fishing Trip

Gabe got to go out on the boat with Grandpa for the first time this weekend. My Dad and brother Dan took him out for a couple of hours. I think they picked a really good day to go....they had several fish in the cooler when they came home and they weren't gone more than 2-3 hours! It is easier to enjoy fishing when you catch some!!

The guys took my camera with them so here's a couple of pictures to share.
